Say It Out LOUD

The Say It Out LOUD Mental Health and Wellbeing Charter is designed for South Ayrshire Primary and Secondary Schools, created by South Ayrshire Youth Forum together with local young people, Thriving Communities, NHS Ayrshire and Arran Health Improvement Team and South Ayrshire Mental Health and Wellbeing Steering Group.

The Say It Out LOUD charter is based on and works alongside the NHS Ayrshire and Arran and Scottish Government Whole School Approach to Support Mental health and Wellbeing Guidance for Schools and mirrors their eight principles.

The charter is inclusive of UNCRC, How Good is Our School 4 Education Scotland Self-evaluation and of South Ayrshire Council Service Plan. It provides a framework that supports listening to children and young people and consider their views on issues that affect them most.

For more information on the Say It Out LOUD Charter or to sign up your school, contact Lynn Dillon, Youth Strategy Officer, Thriving Communities on: lynn.dillon@south-ayrshire.gov.uk

Building self-esteem in the social media age – DOVE

85% of girls in the UK distort the way they look online by age 13.* #NoDigitalDistortion is our long-standing movement to help young people build confidence and positive body image on social media. The Dove Self-Esteem Project has been on a mission to build positive body image since 2004. Now, we’ve created a new Confidence Kit to guide young people to be their most confident selves.
